Blackway blocked to bikers

An order banning motorcyclists from a remote bridleway has been made permanent.

Northumberland County Council imposed a traffic regulation order on the Blackway in Allendale and West Allen last year – which is a favourite with walkers and horse riders. The move cut the use of the route by motorbikes and now the council has made the order permanent.
