Owen Williams, part of Amey, has been commissioned by ~East Sussex County Council~ to draw up a preliminary design of a new link road between Hastings and Bexhill. The alignment of the 5.5km route – which green groups claim is a new version of the killed-off western bypass – would be ‘carefully selected’ to minimise adverse impact on Coombe Haven Valley and nearby sites of special scientific interest.
