Balance road-user needs says SDC

 

A senior transport chief has warned against pitching local sustainable projects against large-scale national schemes. The Sustainable Development Commission’s (SDC) final report, released this week, argued for a shift towards a more balance transport policy between the motorist and public transport. It claimed local transport investment would provide better value for money than ‘vanity projects’, such as high-speed rail.
