‘Arrogant’ Metroline jibe

The union representing workers on London’s Metroline buses has claimed the ‘arrogance’ of the firm has led to a second day of commuter misery in the capital.

Monday’s strike, following last week’s action, came on the same day as delays hit the Tube network.
Negotiators from the Transport and General Workers union claimed talks at the arbitration and conciliation service broke down after Metroline’s boss told them: ‘If bus workers felt they couldn’t afford to do the job, they should look for another job.’
