Angelic host’s heavenly image puts visitors on the right path

Buses running past the Angel of the North in the Northeast have been given a make-over, featuring the iconic landmark to make them more easily identifiable.

Set on a bright pink background on Go North East’s services 21 and 22, the image of the Angel of the North and the service name of ‘the angel’ informs people that the buses travel to the famous sculpture.

Peter Huntley, managing director with Go North East, said: ‘The service now has a highly-visible and instantly-recognisable identity. ‘No matter where anyone is along the route, the moment they see the “angel” bus it will be obvious that it travels to the Angel of the North.’
