Amey wins county contract

Hampshire County Council has awarded a seven-year highways maintenance contract to Amey.

Amey will undertake the delivery of routine and planned maintenance of the county’s highway network from 1 May. It replaces the current six-year contract with Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Services.

The council’s executive member for environment, Cllr Mel Kendal, said: ‘Amey won the term highways contract against stiff competition from five other companies.’
