Amey appoints Haluch to head highways business

 

Amey has named James Haluch as managing director of its newly formed Highways business.

The company said Mr Haluch is a chartered civil engineer with a significant track record in delivering strategic highways integrated services.

He recently joined Amey from Mouchel, where he spent 25 years, most recently as part of EM Highways.

Mr Haluch said: ‘The creation of the Highways business unit will deliver new synergies that will translate into significant benefits for our clients. I am delighted to have been offered this opportunity and look forward to working with my fellow executives to develop an already a very strong, exciting business.’

Amey said Mr Haluch has an excellent track record as a senior leader in the highways market and ‘holds strong relationships with key clients including Highways England and Traffic Scotland’.

His recent successes include the Forth Road Bridge strengthening project and securing the new £300m Highways England Area 7 contract.

CEO Andy Milner said: ‘Since joining Amey last year, James has had a major impact on our reputation in the highways market both with clients and road users. His extensive highways experience will be critical to help us continue to improve the UK’s highways infrastructure.’

Mr Haluch will join Amey’s existing executive team along with Nicola Hindle and Rob Edmondson as newly appointed MDs of Consulting & Rail and Environmental Services respectively.
