Airport expansion on hold

Leeds City Council has deferred a decision on plans to expand the terminal at Leeds Bradford International Airport, while it seeks further improvements to the traffic and public transport package proposed.

The airport lacks a direct rail link and members have been warned that a tram-train system would need government support.
