Adonis demands better mobile connectivity

 

Outgoing National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) chair Lord Adonis has demanded better mobile connectivity, arguing that if the Government’s forthcoming industrial strategy ‘is to mean anything, it must address our connected future’.

The former transport minister and interim chair of the NIC said 4G is ‘currently available in the UK just half the time we need it’. He added: ‘We are 54th in the world, behind Romania and Albania, Panama and Peru. This cannot go on.'
