A66 upgrade approved

A £15.4M scheme to improve access into north Middlesbrough has been approved by the council’s executive member for transport.
The widening scheme for a congested section of the A66 has been designed to improve access to Middlehaven, a large Teesside Development Corporation mixed-use development. The council said the design had been drawn up to allow construction without disruption to traffic on the A66.
