A46 cost set at £1M

The main road between Gloucester, Cheltenham and Stroud will cost £1M to repair and leave the route shut for six months.

The A46 was closed earlier in the month following a landslide at Salmon Springs caused by the severe flooding in July.

Gloucestershire County Council’s total highway flood repair bill is already at £25M and is expected to rise due to land movement as the ground dries out.
