A19 junction upgrade starts

City of York Council has started improvement work to the Crockey Hill junction on the A19 this week.
The work will see traffic signals introduced at the A19’s junction with Wheldrake Lane, and follows the recent installation of additional streetlighting and the creation of a 40mph zone on the A19 either side of the junction.
The aim is to improve road safety in the area and make it easier for drivers to turn in and out of Wheldrake Lane.
