The Association for Road Traffic Safety and Management has welcomed the latest regulations for the manufacture of traffic signs on Highway Agency roads, coming into operation from 1 April.
They will make it compulsory for all suppliers to be registered, and all signs to be ‘fit for purpose’.
At present, the regulations do not apply to local authority-managed roads.
