£5M ‘visible’ improvements at Lancs

Lancashire’s highways are set to benefit from an extra £5M from the county council.

Twelve local communities will be tasked with deciding how to spend the money in their areas.

County councillor, Matthew Tomlinson, cabinet member for sustainable development, said: ‘This is great news for communities across Lancashire as the improvements the money makes will be clearly visible.

‘I’ve handed the cash to the Lancashire local communities in each district so the decision can be made by the people who live there.’
