20mph limit for City of Dreaming Spires becomes a reality

 
New 20mph speed limits have come into force on almost all residential roads in Oxford.


The limits have also been introduced on some sections of the main A-roads and B-road network where there are busy shopping centres, particularly in the city centre.


Cllr Rodney Rose, Oxfordshire CC’s cabinet member for transport, said: ‘The fact that the Government wants similar schemes introduced elsewhere puts Oxfordshire very much at the forefront.’
