£1.5M footbridge under way

Work is about to begin on a £1.5M footbridge over the A1139 Fletton Parkway in Peterborough.

Peterborough City Council will coordinate construction, with current works being undertaken by Fitzpatrick Construction to widen the dual carriageway parkway to six lanes between junctions two and three.

O&H Hampton is funding the project, which will link the Orton Malborne and Hampton areas of the city.

The road-widening scheme is scheduled to be completed by February, and the bridge should be complete by mid-May.
