£10M roads investment

North Lincolnshire Council is to spend a record £10M on road improvement schemes this year.

The investment will improve roads, footpaths and streetlighting across the region, with work starting in July 2008.

Cllr Bernard Regan, cabinet member for neighbourhood and environment, said: ‘It is the largest investment in the council’s history that will make a real difference to the area’s roads.’

Work will start on schemes in Scunthorpe, and will follow on projects in Barrow, Killingholme, Ealand and Graiselound.’
